Interactive guide for amusement park

Project: Project carried out as an assignment at Foundations of HCI Usability course. The aim of the assignment was to design a simple interface with applying the rules of usability taught in the course.
Objective is to design a device for the tourists visiting amusement park that is user-friendly and easy to use. This guide with consist of interactive device with interface that will be given to the user at the entrance of the park. Person should not need to have experiences or read manual to be able to use this device and as this interface will be used only once by person, it requires that all functions of buttons should be clear and intuitive so every person knows how to use guides software. This guide will make the tour in Disneyland more comfortable by shortening the time that users spend waiting on the lines for attractions by estimating at which nearby attraction is a shorter line so user can go there without waiting. Meanwhile it will make a reservation for the attraction that has a longer line so when user finishes with the current attraction, he can go directly to the next one without waiting. Where user should go and what time to be there will be shown at the screen and user will be navigated in the same way as GPS devices in the cars, both with the map and the voice and by written text where to go. Device will note which attractions user already visited and keep the tract of them not to bypass any. Guide will give as well information about attraction as: what they are about or if there are some limitations to visit them but also information about other services provided by the park as restaurants, ATMs, restroom and so on. By making the tour more organized and estimated for right timing to go to attractions, the tour will become more comfortable for the user and he will be able to see more of attractions and enjoy his stay at the park more.
